Newbury care home wins approval of national care inspectors

A national care watchdog has given a care home in Newbury the seal of approval, with relatives and residents praising its caring and attentive team members and extensive activities programme. The Care Quality Commission’s (CQC) report gave Care UK’s Winchcombe Place care home on Maple Crescent an overall ‘good’ rating, following an unannounced inspection. Fundraising to provide a new fitness trail and outdoor play equipment at a Newbury school for deaf children has been given a boost thanks to a regional builder. Persimmon Homes Thames Valley chose the Mary Hare School for deaf children to become one of its monthly Community Champions.
